The box this analyzer comes in says, "the Thoroughbred HORSE RACE ANALYZER is programmed for 3 year-or-older horses running on a fast dirt or firm turf track, at distances of 6 furlongs1 or longer. It is not designed to handicap harness races (trotters or pacers), quarter horse races, dog races or "Maiden" races. This product is for recreational purposes only."

This computer's purpose was to figure out handicapping stats about thoroughbred horse racing. The user enters information into the device about each horse from the Form, then the computer analyzes the data and produces a numerical rating for the horse. A mathematics professor at Adelphi University, William Quirin helped develop the Horse Race Analyzer with his programing.2

the advanced handicapping technologies inc. is located in Greenwich, CT but has the technology manufactured in Hong Kong.
