The full title of this book is Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race. Starting in the 1940s, this New York Times bestseller follows the story of four talented African American women who were math teachers and became "human computers" for NASA.

The book was made into a movie in 2017.
